Safe Pediatric Ground Ambulance Transport Project
As part of a quality improvement initiative, the Trauma Department at the John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital (OCH) is placing a major focus on safe pediatric transport to the hospital. The overall goal of this initiative is to improve patient care by increasing the number of pediatric patients who are transported in the to the hospital in ground ambulances using child-appropriate restraints.
OCH is kindly requesting EMS providers to complete an anonymous survey to better understand the challenges that EMS professionals face when transporting pediatric patients to the hospital and the steps that could be taken to help address these challenges.

On behalf of the WREMAC, the UBMD EMS Division is responsible for the administration, oversight and implementation of the WREMAC annual skill and CME program.
As a reminder, the Western Regional Emergency Medical Advisory Committee (WREMAC) annual skill reporting is due no later than June 30, 2021. As previous, skill and certification data may be entered at any time.
Individual providers are responsible for maintaining their own credentials and meeting eligibility requirements. Agencies are responsible for submitted their agency data via the UBMD EMS Portal sometime between May 1 and June 30.
Providers are encouraged to log-in and review their information. EMS officers are encouraged to plan for the upcoming reporting period.
Everyone is encouraged to review the attached policy for a better understanding of this program, its intent, and provider/agency responsibilities.
