Happy EMS Week!

By Uncategorized

“Ready Today.  Preparing for Tomorrow.”

The UBMD Emergency Medicine EMS Division would like to wish all EMS providers a Happy EMS Week!  EMS providers must have tremendous situational awareness and be ready for whatever comes their way.  The pandemic has created an incredibly challenging environment for both providers and their families.  Over the past few months, EMS continues to stand-up to the challenge.

As we enter this week of celebration, festivities will be noticeably different.  During a time when the level of gratitude expressed to EMS should surpass all years prior, activities will, no doubt, be fewer in number.  Please know, you are appreciated more than any celebration could demonstrate!

Let’s also remember to look out for one another.  Day-to-day responsibilities can take a toll on the mental well-being of providers; the pandemic increases stress levels, exponentially.  As we perform shift wellness checks, let’s make sure we aren’t missing an opportunity to evaluate emotional wellness.

Whether times are tough or great, we are privileged to be a part of your team.  On behalf of everyone at UBMD Emergency Medicine, we sincerely thank you for all you do each and every day.

Finally, we would like to share the EMS week appreciation lunches of which we are currently aware.  Lunches are being provided as follows:

Tuesday: Mount St. Mary’s Hospital

Wednesday: ECMC and Kenmore Mercy

Thursday: Mercy Hospital of Buffalo

Friday: Sister’s Hospital

Happy EMS Week Everyone!
