On behalf of the NYS Bureau of EMS and Trauma Systems, the UBMD EMS Division has been asked to communicate information concerning the recent protocol update:
- Thank you to all who completed the protocol update by the 12/31/2019 deadline.
- The NYS Bureau of EMS is tracking each service’s compliance with the update and is now requesting all EMS services (BLS FR, Ambulance, and ALS FR) to submit an affirmation of compliance on or before Friday, January 17, 2019. https://apps.health.ny.gov/pubpal/builder/ProtocolCompliance
- If an agency feels it needs an extension, they will be considered on a case-by-case basis. There are elements necessary to apply for the extension. The extension process is detailed in the letter which can be downloaded below.
