Please see the msg below from Emily James regarding the upcoming changes with Catholic Health Facilities ED Access for EMS
Good afternoon –
As you are aware, the Catholic Health System has put in place some new security features in the emergency departments throughout our system, to include stronger access requirements for the EMS entrances. Key fobs have been distributed to the EMS agencies who regularly transport to our facilities for their providers to gain entrance to the ED via the EMS doors. For agencies who are not regularly transporting to Catholic Health emergency departments, there will be a bell that can be pressed to alert security to open the EMS doors, so the crew is able to gain entrance. The current PIN code system to enter via the EMS doors will no longer be accessible as of Monday, April 6, 2026, at 12:00am. Please distribute this information to your providers.
