Greetings,
Please see the correspondence below from the Division of State EMS, link below is for the Request for Nominees document!
The Division of State EMS is pleased to begin accepting nominations for the second Mental Health Resiliency Officer Fellowship Program. This program is designed to equip EMS clinicians with the tools to develop and support mental health and well-being in their agencies. Taking place over the course of one-year, beginning with an introductory “kick-off” session in June 2026, the aim is to have at least one mental health champion from each region chosen to participate in the fellowship program. These fellows will receive foundational mental health competencies, and attend monthly virtual or in-person meetings, to gain the knowledge necessary to become a resiliency officer and develop or enhance peer support programs in their agencies.
Through training, and the development of a network of like-minded EMS professionals, this fellowship empowers participants to create lasting change.
Nominations will close on April 20th, 2026 so please share the attached request for nominations widely within your networks.
Thank you for your time and commitment to the mental health and well-being of EMS clinicians, leaders and agencies throughout New York State.
Sincerely,
Stephen Brucato
Bureau Chief | Bureau of EMS Emergency Management
Intelligence Liaison Officer
Division of State Emergency Medical Services
