EMS Communication from Catholic Health

By Uncategorized

Greetings Everyone,

This is a recent message from Catholic Health:

“Mercy Hospital of Buffalo has made the decision to not utilize the key pads for the ambulance ramp entrance or the EMS entrance to the ED to ensure the safety and security of our patients, our visitors, our staff, and the building.  Until further notice to access the ambulance ramp and the EMS entrance doors crews will be required to press the security button at both entrances and wait until security permits them access”.

Any questions please contact Emily at Catholic Health

Vital Signs in person attendees – Notice

By Uncategorized

A message from the NYSDOH BEMS regarding the up coming vitals signs conference:

Dear Vital Signs Attendee:

We are very excited to be having our in-person conference this year! We can’t wait to see everyone after nearly 2 years. For those who can’t join in-person we are happy to offer an online conference experience!

The Vital Signs & Bureau of EMS staff want to let everyone know we are taken extra steps to ensure a safe environment for our attendees, our speakers, and our vendors.

As part of our safety plan, everyone that attends in person must be vaccinated.

When attendees pick up their badges onsite, staff will ask for validation of your COVID vaccine. Attendees can show a COVID vaccination card and/or your excelsior pass.

We appreciate your assistance and look forward to having a safe environment for everyone.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me

Sincerely,
Valerie Ozga

EMS Protocol App Survey

By Uncategorized

Greetings Everyone,

The Southern Tier EMS system recently explored with the program agencies the idea of conducting a survey regarding the new state protocol app MURU. I feel that this is important to share with our region as well. Below is the message and the link to the survey and I encourage all of you participate please. Make sure to share with others.

“At the past few meetings of the Southwestern Regional EMS Council, the topic of the use of the MURU App vs. the Collaborative Protocol App has come into the discussion several times. Due to this, we are seeking feedback from our region on how they feel in regards to the apps that are available.

Please take the time to complete this brief 5 minute survey to provide your feedback. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and will be shared at the state level”.
