CDC Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report | Non-Fatal Overdoses

Greetings Everyone,

Sharing with you from the NYS DOH BEMS:

Nonfatal opioid-involved overdoses treated in emergency departments (EDs) are increasing, yet ED surveillance does not capture all overdoses because persons who had a nonfatal opioid-involved overdose often refuse transport by emergency medical services (EMS).  The work from EMS is being reviewed and respected.
