EPCR Agency Administrators please take note of the new facility code for the hospital. Please set this new facility up in your systems using the information provided along with the facility code of H15464; this is very important! As always, if you have any questions related to Catholic Health, please reach out to a member of their EMS Liaison team.

We have received a few phone calls and messages regarding the new facility code for the new hospital in Lockport. At this time, we have yet to receive the new facility code and are expecting the new facility code from NYS within the next 24 hours. As soon as we receive the new facility code, we will be sure to pass the information along for EMS agencies to enter into their respective EPCR system.

South Lockport Fire Company and Rapids Fire Company in cooperation with the Western New York Stress Reduction Program is offering an educational presentation focusing on stress and resilience in the first responder, including various stress encountered during response to Emergency Calls, and how to develop psychological resilience to these stresses and everyday life.
This will be held on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023 at 7pm at Rapids Hall #1, 7195 Plank Road, Lockport NY 14094.

There are two updated policies that have been placed on the Bureau of EMS and Trauma Systems website. The first is an update to policy statement 23-08 which has been now 23-08B
This particular policy was introduced a few months back and covered Pilot Educational Programs. The original policy introduced four pilot programs. The updated policy statement adds a fifth pilot program for Recruitment and Retention. Agencies leaders please review this policy as this may be an option for prospective members who may have taken an EMT class through self funding. Details can be found using the link below:

The second policy update is regarding policy statement 23-09 which is now updated to policy statement 23-09.b. The big news on this policy statement update is the increase in course reimbursements for the EMT, AEMT original course along with an increase in the PSE Rates. This notice can be found at this link:
